Got a copy of the Wall Street Journal this morning and found a very interesting article on the front page. It seems the Las Vegas Shooter had a "History" with the PD down there. Seems his Father also had a 'Shootout' after robbing a Bank.

Maybe, this is a REAL case of the Nut not falling far from the Tree!

It seems that the Journal requires a subscription before somebody can look at them on-line. I'm pretty sure not many folks will see any advantage to that so I've done a bit of a review. Remember this is the way I see the article and I may be wrong. But here goes.

It does talk about the man being very wealthy and owning at least three homes but having very few friends. He was 7 when his Father was arrested for bank robbery and that the family was concerned that he would remember too much. They moved to CA and he went to school, college etc. He seems to have made his big money buying land and buildings but no details were provided. Seems he wasn't close to his siblings but did a great deal for his mother, including buying her a home in FL. He lived in FL in the later years but moved back to NV because of health issues. I think that's pretty much it.

This article Impressed me with his being a loaner while enjoying gambling but it seems he liked Video Poker. I've made a few bucks that way too but not in his league!:)

Look up his dad and you will find all kinds of interesting stuff such as he was a bank robber went to prison escaped was on the run for years and ran a illegal casino and bingo hall in Oregon before he was recapture this would explain a lot of the money stuff the family has say in 1969 your running a illegal casino and robbing banks you invest alot of money back then in real-estate and today your kids are rich like crazy gambling millionaire rich mmmmmmmm

I have done my share of gambling even played video poker a few times but you don't get rooms compt and meals free at a Vegas casino playing regular video poker at $1.00 a deal you have to go to the high limit games and play at $100.00 dollars a deal or slots at $50.00 to $100.00 bucks a spin or more

there is another story in the news stating he was on anti-depression meds and doctors may of changed or adjusted his meds , this can make a person go mad too,
Last year a neighbor down the block from me always walked every day always seen him then we did not see him, found out he was on anti depression meds for years then his doctor changed his meds incorrectly and he became abusive to his wife and within a few weeks he hung himself in the garage. Before his last few weeks of med change he was a great guy talked with him now and then always happy and joking,
These anti depression meds when messed with of changed can make a person snap/change/go mad
I wounder if we will hear more about this as the story continues , but it fits on how a stable guy can go mad on a drop of a dime

We have a Condo in Reno and while we haven't had much use for it the last few years, well, I've seen some of the High Rollers who Simply took over a whole bank of Poker Slots. But I also think that this guy likely did more than that. More than once I have gotten into one of the high end poker games but I also got out early and took a bit home with me. Our budget for gambling money was "set in stone" and I knew it would not take but one good hand going bad. So...

And this guy certainly had the money to pay with.
