Sadly WAY too many people in this state finding filling out that ballot and dropping it in the mail too hard, so they don't do it. They do have a LOT of people telling them not to bother though. That really works well.Yeah, vote harder next tume buddy, let us know how that works out...
Trying to tell people that instantly labels you a dangerous neo Nazi .. Nazi Germany had less taxes an more freedom than WA state.Hitler actually repealed most of the gun laws implimented in the Weimar years...

Well, yeah, thats been the problem for years.Sadly WAY too many people in this state finding filling out that ballot and dropping it in the mail too hard, so they don't do it. They do have a LOT of people telling them not to bother though. That really works well.
Neo?Trying to tell people that instantly labels you a dangerous neo Nazi .. Nazi Germany had less taxes an more freedom than WA state.
It is the only solution. Unless and until people vote better this will only get worse. There is no other solution that is real.Well, yeah, thats been the problem for years.
But at this point there is no political solution.
Agree. It's simply numbers. In terms of guns, in current climate Ds know people will vote if they sign onto anti-gun laws. More Ds than Rs = more gun laws. If there were more Rs than Ds, gun laws would not increase. It is the only solution. Unless and until people vote better this will only get worse. There is no other solution that is real.
Yep, I fully expect some relief for the courts in time here. Sadly I'm not sure that this will not actually make it worse. A LOT of shooters pay zero attention to what is going on. Many will not even find out this new law went in for a long time. If by the time they do the courts have stepped in a lot of them will just put their head back in and not pay attention again.Agree. The long term solution is voting but we can fight it right now very effectively in the courts. Our founding fathers gave us the tools to defeat this BS. We need to man up and fight them in the courts. It's the most effective way to beat them right now Imo. Give to GOA, SAF, and any others you see that effectively fighting the gun laws.
While I get your point, history is chock a'block full of examples that say otherwise. They are very real, just seemingly less desirable. It is the only solution. Unless and until people vote better this will only get worse. There is no other solution that is real.
Sadly things have changed a LOT in the last 200+ years. Imagine them trying the great lock down a couple hundred years ago? Look how it went this time. That shows you how much things have changed. People who will not even bother to vote are not doing to do ANY heavy lifting. While I get your point, history is chock a'block full of examples that say otherwise. Err...read up on smallpox during the Revolution. Just sayin'.Sadly things have changed a LOT in the last 200+ years. Imagine them trying the great lock down a couple hundred years ago? So they told everyone to stay home or be arrested and the entire country went along with it?Err...read up on smallpox during the Revolution. Just sayin'.
-Not agreeing with the scam-demic, by any means. Just pointing out a refute to your post worth looking into (or not).
No. However there were quite a bit of extreme measures, including repositioning troops & even retreats due to infectious concerns. So they told everyone to stay home or be arrested and the entire country went along with it?
Because they are FAR from done here. Only fools thought they could compromise. Every new law is just a step for them. They have no intention of anything working. Just keep chipping away for as long as voters allow them. One thing I've noticed is that before the legislation was passed the term "assault weapons" was used, but now that it's been signed a see the term "semiautomatic firearms". It's all in the semantics folks.
If you look at the percentage of the population who historically held serious convictions, and acted upon them. I bet that percentage is very similar. There have been followers, fence sitters, and deniers forever. The very few who hold serious convictions, exist, but things have to get terribly upside down before the prospects of acting on those convictions in a particular manner outweigh the other methods.Sadly things have changed a LOT in the last 200+ years. I would expect that the few who held out to the point of losing their jobs voted. They are seldom the problem. Many here love to pretend its not happening but its proven over and over here. When some new gun law is going on members soon find out almost none of their friends know its going on. Put out a petition to give us a redo on the law than made the 10/22 an "assault weapon" and we can't even get enough shooters to sign it. People who think these are the kind who are going to do anything? Sure, don't hold your breath here. If this latest law is not shot down by the courts we are going to see gun owners "just finding out" it happened for the next year or better who had no clue. When they find out they will still do nothing but complain and talk about moving. If you look at the percentage of the population who historically held serious convictions, and acted upon them. For example: Most recently, there are plenty of people who refused 'the clot shot' despite threats to their livelihood. People lost their jobs because of it. People who stood firm in their convictions despite that are an example that some Americans still 'have it.'
