I love dogs, most dogs. I've never had a soft spot for the little oversized gerbil-like pocket dogs - they are almost always stupid and yippy - they bark at everything.

As for 'normal' dogs, I love 'em. We don't have one right now, but would like to get one again. Our pets are well trained and we take great care that they don't jump on people, bark at them or make noise for our neighbors. We don't take them to public places like a store, there simply is no reason/need for a regular pet to be there.

It's the owners that really tick me off. You can tell, looking at them, that the animal is the one in control, and not the human. That's just not the way it's supposed to be. Dogs can be great companions, so long as they know their place and the owner knows how to be in control.
