Welcome TaylorMade!

I'm betting big that you are mistaken about Khamzat. The guy has been hit four times in four fights. Gilbert will use his takedown game and will get caught. Not just a hype train. If Burns makes it out of Round 1 I'll be surprised. The MMA community has been aware of him since 2017. After Saturday, Usman's hand injury will be an 18-month affair.

As for Sterling will most likely lose. His strategy was to pack on muscles the last year and come out aggressive. Problem is, muscles mess up cardio and Yan is a cardio machine. I see Yan winning rounds 3-5 or a finish (no bet).

Volk will win. 20-1 won't be broken by Zombie. Volk has wrecked opponents that have in turn wrecked Zombie.

Can't wait either - really good entertainment regardless of who wins!
Ur Khamzat-Burns pick is pretty spot on, but Volk hasn' really wrecked anyone, besides Ortega an still didnt finish him. Zombie lost to Ortega, not sure what happened with him in that fight, but he was holding his own an lookin at a decision against Jose, before dislocating his shoulder, beat the brakes off Yair an cruisin to a UD until he got careless, other than that he's cruised through some names, but agreed, it's gonna be a nice card!

Many are unaware that Khamzat has had many challenges in life. Has had seven surgeries including thyroid removal. The guy has overcome so much. Lived in a 8-10' room in the back of the gym for two+ years. Worked out 3-5 times a day. How can I not be a fan?

If a hype train, it is deserved. The real UFC hype train is Paddy the Baddy. Ugh. Can't wait for Dana to stop giving that guy hand picked opponents.

Khamzat's bromance with Darren Till is great. Other fighters are criticizing his friendship with Darren Till and he shuts that bubblegum down - "everyone needs a friend ....."

Since this is a firearms forum it helps that the guy LOVES guns and playing pool. I don't ever mix "liking" a fighter and betting.
That said, I'd say Khamzat is a lock. Also, even though only three rounds, it will NOT go the distance is the better bet than the crazy ML odds. That, or betting on Khamzat to finish KO/TKO/DQ. His pattern is strike the wrestler, wrestle the striker.

Again, I don't have enough faith in Yan to add him to a parlay. Fan hate and dislike of Sterling should not play into a betting decision. The guy is 20-3 and no easy prey. Yes, I believe Yan wins, but it is NOT a lock.

Yes of course, but it has been over a year and Sterling had a since college neck injury repaired and is in top shape. All I am saying is he has a chance.
For most fans, the Khamzat fight takes the limelight.

I think calling Khamzat a lock is reckless. He hasn't faced any top competition yet. He's definitely thrashed a few guys now but this is a big step up. People are expecting a quick finish again. He's definitely gona go out guns a blazin. What if Gilbert, a veteran who's fought the best many times, is crafty enough to survive the onslaught during the first round. How tired will Khamzat be after blowing his wad trying to impress the masses and uncle Dana. I could totally see Gilbert surving that first round and then turning it up as Khamzat fades and finishing him in the 2nd or 3rd. Khamzat also might just go out there and F'n smash him too. I just don't get how in a sport like this where there is no guarantees, someone could say someone is a lock when they've never even fought top competition and then jumps to fighting a top 3 guy. I was/am high on Khamzat too but this is where I'd be more reserved with bets until we see how he actually does against someone elite.

Gun to the head, id still pick him to win. I just won't be surprised at ALL if he doesn't. And im actually rooting for Burns. I like underdogs. Especially in situations like this where they just completely derail the train. I mean Dana already announced Khamzats next fight lol. Be pretty funny if he loses now...

I think and hope Yan wins. Sterling is good. Yan is better I believe and should take his belt back.

I'll be rooting for Zombie cause I'm a fan but my money would be on Alexander.

Spoilers ahead if you haven't watched the fights yet....

Holy sheot what a fight. Burns definitely had some good moments and gave Khamzat a fight.

Sterling surprised me in rounds 2 and 3 but I had Yan for rd 1,4, & 5... o'well. Thats what happens when you leave it to the judges and rd 2 was damn near was a 10/8 for sterling anyways.

Alexander had a masterful performance. Doesnt get much cleaner than that. Feel bad for Zombie. He looks flat out there and slow.

As for Khamzats upcoming fight with Colby now. I think he has an easier fight against Colby for some reason. Just a gut feeling. Colby gets stung a bit but has a chin. But the more you have wars like he's had with Usman that chin will deteriorate. I think Khamzat can and will catch Colby and sit him down at least and im not sure how well Colby will weather the storm that follows. Dont think he'll flat out KO him but I definitely see a TKO happening. If he does get past Colby though I think Usman beats Khamzat. He had some holes in his game tonight and wiffed some big punches. You could see him getting a little frustrated. He also got stung a couple times tonight pretty good. He recovered fast enough but I think Umsan catches him cleaner and harder. Plus that'll be 5 rounds. I would have liked to see tonight's fight be a 5 rounder. Honestly I think all fights should be 5. But Khamzat definitely was slowing a lot. Burns was too though. Usman has crazy cardio though and we know that. Exciting times regardless. Its nice to see a challenger like Khamzat coming up the ranks.

Well I scored well via my Khamzat/Volk parlay, just barely. Leaving Yan out of that proved to be a smart move. Did better tonight than 90% of betters out there cause so many bet on Yan. Not crowing about my predictions and another winning night cause Khamzat BARELY squeezed by and almost torpedoed my evening.

Ilani as a revue was fun, but I wouldn't put in past many other sports bars.

What about Mackenzie Dern and that standing kimura? Just superb jiu-jitsu.

@Burt Gummer That looks like a nice place with good screens. The thing I like about Big Al's is it tends to fill up for the big events and get a little rowdy. Makes for a fun experience.

Ash I will keep that in mind vs my streamer buddy and his 90" TV. Big draw events end up with a lot of freeze frames and lockups.
Ilani - specifically The Stadium - doesn't not have that rowdy crowd atmosphere I like. For that, it rates a C+. The service was A+.
When Conor fought Khabib they did it in the main concert arena with the works. Even ring girls. THAT was A+ all around.

Anyone know how long it takes for ESPN+ to Unlock the PPV?

It wasn't 1 day, as I couldn't watch yesturday.

<rant> ESPN+ does not indicate which videos you have watched. So If you are going thru past events how to keep track of seeing 263 or 255 etc.
Disney has the technology, therefore they chose not to deploy it </rant>
