Alright DON'T BET - can't drag around the guilt if pick doesn't come thru!!! - but for Saturday here is my 2-pick parlay which pays close to even at -110. Joe is a wrecking machine, but he fell wrong on his arm and dislocated it, all better. Pat is also a monster.
Betting on one or another is fine but the payout is slim. Put the two together and that improves. When I first started betting I was more careless and did 5-part parlays, etc. As I said before, with not being able to write off loses, I have to win at least 80% of the time just to break even. In 2022 so far, about 88%. No big profits, just fun.

No one cares about MMA anymore? Talking to myself here? lol

NOT A BET .... however ... I really believe Yan will beat Dern today. Yan is a steep underdog at +210.

Dern wins on the ground, yes, but she has a 9% offensive takedown rate and can't wrestle. EVERYONE expects Dern to just grab her and that's all she wrote. Let's see how that pans out ...................

Ash - won't rule it out. Been working long hours starting around 6am so I am adapting to this thing people like you call "morning."

I'm naturally a night owl. If I have any extended time off it's not long before I'm up all night and sleeping in late, but I've trained myself to be a morning person out of necessity. If I don't go to the gym in the morning first thing it's just not going to happen after work. I know myself all too well.

Hey Ash - have you called Big Al's in Beaverton to confirm they will even be open for UFC 280?

I called them and they said they don't open until noon and that is an hour after the main card starts this Saturday. The guy couldn't confirm that Al's is showing UFC this weekend.

Even Ilani Casino is passing on showing the fights because of the early time.

These other places MAY be showing the fights if they open in time:

Buffalo Wild Wings @ Beaverton, OR

Bucket Brigade Sports Bar & Restaurant

I'll call during my lunch today and let you know.

Did some research. This is the only bar/restaurant I could find that has UFC 280. They open at 9am. $20 cover charge. Might open early for the pre-prelims. Note - I believe everything up to 11am is free on ESPN+ if you have that service.

Small place, looks like lots of TVs, definitely a dive bar; it is no Big Al's, but ....... the UFC charges bar based on capacity and a small bar that opens early will probably be the only chance vs staying at home and paying $70?

This ME time thing is really fouling up the works. I'll either go to the bar above or just bite the bullet and pay the $70 Either way, can't miss this card. My friend is a cheater that gets everything for free but it gets overwhelmed on really big events like this one, freezes up.

I called Buffalo Wild Wings at Hillsdale in Beaverton and they are hosting UFC 280. @Burt Gummer that'll probably be better venue than that dive-y bar, at least the screens will be much better and you don't have to go to Portland.

I have weekend work beginning at 8:00 am but I should be done by 11:00. I already told my coworker I'm out at 11:00 for UFC, wings, and beers! I'll be watching it via streameast.xyz, so i need to renew my Pro membership via a $5 Bitcoin payment today.

So psyched for tomorrow!
