There has been a surprising number of these since the Taser started getting out there. The only reason this one is going wall to wall is it fits a narrative. To me? Anyone who has handled and used a Taser, then pulls their duty gun and does not know? They were handed a job they were NOT qualified to do. The two do not feel anything alike. Long ago one LEO who did this sued Taser, saying surely it could not be her incompetence. It was Tasers fault:confused:
Long ago PD's started benign forced to hire to fill ranks with the "correct mix". Next the law makers of one party started to line up to call them murders and try to go after them. I said all along this is going to lead to a lot more problems. May who would be great in this job will pass it by. Soon they will be hiring morons who would never have been given the job. Throw enough of these morons with a gun out on the street and you will see more of these "bad shoots". The people who made this mess will then say "see we told you Cops are just murders". :s0054:

It is VERY sad. Its easy to see the gal was in a job that was way over her head and she should never have been there. Problem is now someone is dead who should not be. That is was scum will not matter much now. Jury knows full well that if they do not convict her, city will be set on fire so they are of course under a LOT of pressure. Not to mention if they do not bring back the verdict the mob wants they know full well media will DOX them. She is almost surely going to spend some time in prison sadly. With the way so many want to keep anyone qualified from taking the job of an LEO now more of these people who have no place in the job are going to end up hired. This will be far from the last time we see a colossal screw up like this happen. Due to hiring those who should never have had the job. Again voters get what they ask for:(

There's a much bigger problem if they DO convict her. Based on how the prosecution did their argument, a jury will in effect be criminalizing a mistake - an egregious one to be sure, but a mistake nonetheless. They conflated a mistake = recklessness.

Cops that have been hanging onto their jobs because of loyalty will bail, because they will be royally screwed and will be completely frozen out of doing their jobs.

I watched the trial through Rekieta Law's stream. The commentary helped.

Cops are already bailing out of the job in many places. The voters are getting just what they asked for and are now finding out it has a very nasty taste. This is going to lead to a LOT more people like this woman being hired. People who are in over their heads and they do stupid things. Again though this is what the voters said they wanted. :s0092:

Florida is paying bonuses for LEOs who move there and take certain LE jobs.

The departments run by people with a brain are gladly taking the good who are leaving other places. Below is an example of the problem. Officer is so scared to shoot when he needs to that he actually lets an armed scum try to take his own gun away from him. He is terrified at what will happen if he shoots the scum who has a gun pointed at him and the scum knows it. The scum can see the Officer is afraid. If this LEO stays on the force he will get himself and or others killed but, this is what the voters there wanted.

That is horrible to watch. Watching America going in the bubblegumter right there.

Absolutely disgusting. All a play on words.

If she pulled her gun to intentionally shoot him, she would have been 100% justified.

She did the world a favor ending that turd, but the snowflakes have chosen to ignore the horrible piece of crap he was for woke bull crap.

YouTube requires a login to see that. Is it the same as the beginning of this video?

Because if so that kid doesn't belong being a cop.

This is really, really bad for police in MN and that will bleed over into other states that are equally insane.

Any self-respecting LEO would recognize that sometimes the only way to recover is to let the pendulum swing all the way to the wrong extreme. If I were a cop, I'd walk - ASAP. Criminalizing a mistake is horrifying.
