According to psychological classification:
Idiots. —Those so defective that the mental development never exceeds that or a normal child of about two years.
Imbeciles. —Those whose development is higher than that of an idiot, but whose intelligence does not exceed that of a normal child of about seven years.
Morons. —Those whose mental development is above that of an imbecile, but does not exceed that of a normal child of about twelve years.

That would put politicians somewhere between idiot and imbecile. Makes perfect sense to me. A politician would have to be an idiot not to be able to write a law that even an imbecile could understand.
:)
This supports my theory that while most kids are not complete idiots, a lot of them are morons. :s0140:

Funny the comments about Nazi's. People generally jump straight to putting humans in cattle cars and gassing them and baking them. They entirely ignore the events and attitudes that took place for a decade that led up to those actions being viewed as "acceptable" by those in power and the general populace.

Probably the strongest thing I ever read or pondered regarding the evil of the world was that, true, Hitler was the head guy in charge, but it was everyone beneath him, just "following orders" that made his visions a reality. Without a following Hitler was just a nut, and he himself didn't massacre millions, but his followers sure did.

On the topic of lawyers, I have never viewed a lawyer as having any special powers to interpret the constitution better than I because many seem to demonstrate basic reading comprehension deficiencies when not understanding the phrase, "shall not be infringed," which seems to me as the most blatantly clear method of describing something that laws cannot be made to hinder in any way whatsoever.

The boiled frog says:
Ribbet, Ribbet.
Sadly I have been saying this ever since the great hoax started. Law makers who have long dreamed of top down power had to be shocked at how easy it was to just get the population to agree to this. This is a lot of why history is no longer taught any more. At the Nuremberg trials the people from Germany lined up to use as a defense that everything they did was "just following orders". I over heard a young guy at work the other night asking a co worker what a Presidential pardon was and how it worked. He was hearing about the POTUS giving out the last minute pardons they all do. I walked off thinking I bet the teachers who made sure you had no clue how this worked made sure you knew how to put a condom on a cucumber. :s0092:

Another view of this incident. Threatened man is paramedic, had his own bodycam on, is filing complaint. Tells his side of the story.

When I watched the first one I noticed he was also wearing a camera. Looks like the same kind I have and I was curious if his would also be posted. I have worn one of those for a LONG time for walking the dogs. Has come in VERY useful when dealing with some hot head. :)

My perspective as an LEO...assuming the mask order is legal and is an arrestable offense...The officer could have and should have started that contact down at a friendly level with a calm demeanor. If you start at angry verbal confrontation, there's little room between that and hands on. And another grown man being confronted in that way does not make him feel like being polite. "Meer presence" is already a use of force at a very low level, with a natural progression to verbal direction. From there, the movement up and down the force continuum is 100% dictated by the actions of the subject/threat. The officer created that situation and should have been asking himself, what is the govermental interest in continuing. The whole mask thing is already a touchy subject. That being said, arguing the legalities and effectiveness of the mask is not open for argument in the aisle of the store and will only be perceived as noncompliance to a lawful order by the officer. there are legal remedies in place if the arrest ended up being unlawful. This alone has contributed to many many uses of force around the nation that do not need to happen. Long story short...treat others the way you want to be treated!
Excellent post . . . . .

What bothers me, is that these incidents occur when the "science" that promulgates these mask requirements doesn't even know why it, itself ("it" being "science") is making these requirements, look at the word-salad from the CDC just posted 3 days ago about face masks post-vaccination:

"Do I need to wear a face mask after receiving both vaccine doses?
Yes. Not enough information is currently available to say if or when CDC will stop recommending that people wear masks and avoid close contact with others to help prevent the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19.

Experts need to understand more about the protection that COVID-19 vaccines provide in real-world conditions before making that decision. Other factors, including how many people get vaccinated and how the virus is spreading in communities, will also affect this decision. We also don't yet know whether getting a COVID-19 vaccine will prevent you from spreading the virus that causes COVID-19 to other people, even if you don't get sick yourself. CDC will continue to update this page as we learn more."

Is it just me, or does this clearly show that the "science" here doeesn't know a darn thing about what it's saying? And now there are multi-mask proponents beginning to gain traction. I can see even more of these tense altercations occurring as people get fed up.

Based on the number of teen pregnancies, the cucumber part seems inaccurate.

The school system has failed America's youth. The American family's expectation that the government will educate their child is their biggest mistake.

No, it's not just you.

When it's compliance or the boot...

I'll take the boot.
Anyone who's known me for any period of time knows that the more I'm pushed the more I resist. I resist with equal or greater force than I'm pushed. Never was one for peer pressure either.

I'll do some stuff (mask up) just so I don't have to hear somebody bittch. Some days, I'd welcome to release of what I really want to say. Guy was way more polite than I would have been. My first protects me to tell that badge to fook right off. I probably would have been tased in the back as I was walking away.

The LAW (city ordinance, whatever..) says to wear a mask. So, I do. Simple. And thus, I don't run afoul of the cops. The sign on the door wants me to wear a mask while inside of their property. Yes....the sign was right on the door and I can/could see it. So, If I forgot to bring my mask. I'll go back to the car to mask up before entering. That's simple enough.

If I'm looking to debate bubblegum (maybe cause I'm lonely) and/or if I'm looking for the wrong kind of attention because I'm just an ornery person. Yeah, I'll keep walking around flouting the law. Waiting to film my police encounters. Hey, I could become the next YouTube star and have my video go viral.

Aloha, Mark

What law? It's not a law. It's an illegal emergency order. It has not been made a law.

Then we have the state weaponizing osha against businesses and oha lying to us while giving money to antifa. It's more of that "rat out your neighbors" BS going on. You are supposed to rat out a business for not forcing the public (who is not under osha restrictions) to wear something not rated for the concern at hand. How does that make sense?!?!

Seriously, my employer is being forced to spend money on these made in china masks because osha says we need to wear them for a medical concern then osha recommends a dust mask that clearly says on the package "not to be used for any medical reason. This product may only be used as a dust mask" meaning it is completely useless for the concern at hand.

If we were actually worried things would be handled in a much different way.

then he says the man is uncooperative B.S. typical Tyrant
that cop was out of line but this is the start a socialism
everyone is going to support the cop I get it still don't make it right
serve and protect is not in the video anywhere
