Rare?

Tacoma repeals stun gun ban. Ban on medieval flails still in place

Self-defense options expand in Tacoma after repeal of rare ban

The City Council originally approved the ban on stun guns — as well as butterfly knives and spiked-ball flails — in 2006 after neighborhood complaints about convenience stores selling swords, daggers and other weapons.

Since Stun Guns / Tasers are considered Firearms, as far as the 2nd is concerned (per SCOTUS)
Does that leave them subject to Concealed Carry Restrictions?

Wonders never cease when elected educated idiots make rules that do nothing to actually help citizens... they only help criminals become more brazen when laws are written barring law abiding gun owners right to self defense with any weapon.

All this came as news to me too. Had no idea Tacoma had this ban. The items have always been sold there by mail, so ban must have been just against carry. Also never heard about the SCOTUS case. Is this story for real?

Supreme Court suggests 2nd Amendment protects carrying a stun gun

enhancement added:
The Supreme Court extended the reach of the 2nd Amendment on Monday and strongly suggested that women have a right to carry a stun gun in public to protect themselves.

In a brief unanimous opinion, the justices set aside a ruling that upheld the criminal conviction of Jaime Caetano, a Massachusetts woman who kept a stun gun to defend herself against an abusive ex-boyfriend.

Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. wrote a much stronger concurring opinion setting out the reasons why the 2nd Amendment protects the right to carry a stun gun.
