I have a pu**y pad for shooting my Springfield rifles prone. Other positions don't have the issue, but shooting .30-06 from prone with a steel butt-plate has consequences the next day. It's fine for a round or two, but when I shoot, it's usually 60-100 rounds.
The Past pads work great. So do the slip on recoil pads. But I can hide the past pad. The slip one are just ugly.

Then @Mikej has good company!
Mike, how'd it work for you?

Dude, can't thank you enough! Even though I was thinking I'd go for the 1", (can't have too much protection in the puthy pad department eh?), that 1/2" pad worked like a charm. Punched my body but no pain in my bony shoulder at all. Thanks
