Just bought this today from a pawn shop.its a premier....Savage 25?. Bore looks good, but the chamber seems to be oversize....hadn't shot it yet but I did cycle some dummy rounds.
What he said! just WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Wowzer, that's one fine collection of rim snappers!
Dang sorry it took so long to respond. It is marked 22 short long long rifle. I paid 125.00 for itLots of info on the internet about the Premier pump action aka Savage 25. Apparently Mossberg produced the gun after acquiring the rights from Savage. Circa 1920 to 1930. Is it marked for caliber/cartridge? Often the old school rimfire cartridge primer compound was highly corrosive and that would eat out a chamber (see my post above). But usually the bore would be affected also.
Nice piece. Hope it was a good price. Love the old iron....
