Resistance, was an exercise in futility...

Early and late Remington Rolling Block Model 4 take downs in 32 rimfire, a Hopkins & Allen 932 in 32 rimfire, and a Stevens Favorite 1915 in 22RF. Some have gotten, all will receive new barrel relines in 22RF. Most all old single shots I come across that have been used have terrible bores from neglect and corrosive ammo. Great little shooter once tuned up. Nice to get ragged hole groups from 100 to 125 year old rifles.

Just bought this today from a pawn shop.its a premier....Savage 25?. Bore looks good, but the chamber seems to be oversize....hadn't shot it yet but I did cycle some dummy rounds.

Lots of info on the internet about the Premier pump action aka Savage 25. Apparently Mossberg produced the gun after acquiring the rights from Savage. Circa 1920 to 1930. Is it marked for caliber/cartridge? Often the old school rimfire cartridge primer compound was highly corrosive and that would eat out a chamber (see my post above). But usually the bore would be affected also.
Nice piece. Hope it was a good price. Love the old iron....

1922m2 I just purchased from a new member. I didn't really plan on keeping it as I already have a nice Winchester 52, but after swapping the rear sight back to the proper Lyman 48, this one will probably stick around for a while!
