My Christmas present to myself from myself for being such a good boy during the first quarter of the year. Once all the accessories get here, I can set the low score in Limited Division!

I have a P30L as well and two more 17 round mags coming for Christmas. Dang, they're pricey.
Correct me if wrong, but wasn't that compensator made specifically for the movie and it's functionality dubious?
The movie comps were just for show. They didn't even vent gas. The version I got is called a Wicked Compensator. Its custom made and limited production. Reliability is dubious because the weight and compensator effect keeps the barrel locked up more than normal is my guess. It uses a lighter recoil spring to help out but the guy plainly says its not reliable, just a range toy.

We need deets!
-Ruger American Predator .308

-threw out factory stock (the worst polymer I've ever felt on a rifle), replaced with Magpul Hunter stock which converts magwell to take 7.62AC mags

-Harris S-BRM w/MLOK Magpul sling stud

-YHM R9 w/SRX adapter and SRX short muzzle brake (R9 can handle 16"+ .308)

-Warne 514M steel medium rings, 30mm (cheap but excellent in my experience)

-Nightforce NX8 4-32 w/Tremor3 reticle. The wind dots are handy and I don't like dialing.

That's about it. You can buy a Ruger American Hunter which comes with the Magpul stock, but I paid less to convert my Predator (~600 with stock).

And another little hint, pick up a Spuhr leveling kit. Best $35 I've spent in a while. I've leveled multiple scopes and it takes a few minutes each.

1968 Highway Patrolman, not the original box but cool anyway. Shot great until the other day when the sight jumped out of alignment. When it gets back to 25 degrees i might dial it in, ha.

Dad occasionally pulled guard duty with one of these. He said he never got to shoot it full auto, though.
Better to ask forgiveness than permission. Or so they say.

I few times in the Air Force, we went on training exercises and they actually made us shoot out our ammo instead of shipping it back. I do know if it was just the stuff they'd already opened or all of it, but it was a lot.

My jaw dropped when I read that.

Dad said that, but not around me until after I'd passed my teens. :D

Dad was at a radar base in Indiana during the Korean War. He said he spent a lot of time behind a glass map writing in reverse.
Two of my uncles from Indiana served in Korea. They probably had experience with these M2s. They're both gone now, so I can't ask.
