JP made the Hawes.Might be a Hawes or J.P. Sauer copy of a Single Action Colt ....very common in the late 1950's -1970's.

They did indeed.....However....I have seen and owned Colt Single Action copies made by J.P. Sauer ...and not marked as Hawes.JP made the Hawes.
Condition and caliber are everything here.They worth anything ?

But that was awhile ago...And both gun guys and the gun market is fickle.

Neat grips...if it was my revolver...I might consider taking the "bluing" off of the trigger guard / back strap and polishing the aluminum up to look like nickle....Don't doubt that!
This one has Colt grips, or copies of, too.
