The Jazz is a MIM that I received in trade for a pedal I built. I had a custom set of pickups wound by a buddy in Sarasota, added the Hipshot, replaced all the passive controls with high end components I had on hand. Don't believe in mojo, but a guy I was ghost building pedals for at the time does, so I had such stock on hand. The 2015 gig was on a Mark Bass 350 2x10 and an added sub cab. My current rig is the Fender 250 2x10 shown below.

I have more guitars and basses, but those two are my go to.

On fly dates, I take the 5 and my BDDI. The only thing stock on the Ibby is the neck, tuners and those unique passive EMG licensed pups. The active electronics wore out about 8 years ago and were replaced with EMG. Was V V top and Tone and fader. Now I have independent pickup volume on top and concentric bass/treble on one and a sweepable mid on the other. A true Swiss Army knife!

Sharp eyes will notice the chicken head knobs on the Jazz. I should have thought of that 30 years earlier, but I love 'em! I can see what they are doing without fussing with them!

I like racing pigeons, I have a bunch of pure white ones and do Weddings, Funerals and Memorials with them.
I take my grandson to them. We are set up for a memorial in Sultan as I am writing this. We get to go to a lot of places doing these dove releases and make extra cash to buy guns and reloading equipment.
The photos are not downloading, probably because of our location. I will post some pictures of some release set ups we have done.

We have a twenty-two bird release for a memorial up at the Darrington cemetery on August 9th at 7pm.

Still enjoy the night sky. 15-20 second shutter speeds, low ISO and a stable tripod with a good lens.

These were on top of Marys Peak last night. There were meteorites crossing the sky mainly from North to South. Some were truly spectacular and went 1/4 of the way across the sky and super bright. I thought it was a scene from Falling Skies.

Not sure why I like finding unusual little boxes as much as I do... Maybe they remind me of some of the old places I grew up around (like my grandparents' old smokehouse, where they used to cure meat). Or maybe they remind me of some of the old gents I met in the South when I was a kid.

Anyway, I tend to keep my eyes peeled for unusual, old, carved boxes. Usually, I keep them for awhile and then give them to children, with something interesting in the box. Like a compass, or a pocket knife. Or some fangs out of a beast that was killed here on the farm.

Today, a little box that I bought on eBay arrived in the mail. The hinges on it are held in place with square nails, so I think it's pretty old. Looks very worn, like it's been handled a lot, and smells like a pipe that's been smoked for a long time. I'm guessing it was where someone stored their pipe when they weren't smoking it.
