When I'm trying out a new gun the bullseye is not my point-of-aim. I'll pick a very visible part of the target, fire one shot, then see how the following shots "group".
I get the same kind of comments about my targets.
 
Here's a shooting pic for you gents: I took this in November or December of '69 in South Vietnam:

We had crossed an open area and were approaching a tree line when we drew sniper fire. I was close to the ground, as you can see, when I took this. The Lt. sent out "base runners" to draw fire and the grenadier watched for a muzzle flash. Risky times. Glad I don't do that for a living anymore.
