Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
"The World Ends in Hickory Hollow", (didnt see it on either list), too short for how much I enjoyed it. By short, I mean just a tad over 160 pages. Too bad, its really pretty good.
Also, I have taken to reading dust bowl/great depression stories. Memoirs and fiction of people who lived through it. Kind of surprising the things you learn about survival when a person see's it as just living in a hard time.
"The Worst Hard Time", Timothy Egan (nonfiction) is my favorite.
"Hard Times", Studs Terkel (nonfiction)
Thanks for posting the link! I hope that some of the book will be helpful. There are quite many resources to find but it's not always so easy to find them. Survival Blog by James Wesley Rawles is a good resource as well; he has also written some books on the subject.
