Hey guys, I am looking to build or buy an 18'' upper receiver.

These are the rules for the build/buy

-Complete upper must be less than 1000$
-Must be Sub MOA
-Must be 18'' barrel, Chrome lined, Cold hammer forged barrel. MPI and HP tested
-Must have rifle length gas system
-Must be .223 and 5.56 compatible
-Nickel boron BCG
-M4 feed ramps
-Must have 13'' or greater quadrail
-Must be a flat top upper

The limit here is a 1000$ so dont recommend I buy a DDM4 "Becuase its the best ever invented"
Trying to build a solid MK12 style upper for sub 1000$!

Lets hear the recommendations. I was looking into CCMG. what do you guys think?

If you want sub MOA forget chrome lined, for get the CHF.

You need to look at a Stainless barrel, besides that what a MK12 uses anyways.

I think you might be able to get all for around 1K.
BHW 18" SS barrel - $250
Fail Zero BCG - $200 or less
Basic flat top - $90 ish
troy 13 " rail - $180 ish
gas block - $ 50 ish
Gas tube - $20 ish
FAssist parts - $30 ish
dust cover - $20 ish
CH -$45 ish
flash hider -$ 40 ish

in around $925.

depending of course what you get, and where you shop
Personally I think the most important components are the barrel, and BCG. the rest can be mil-spec and work just fine, again IMO.

all that left is glass, and you def will not get that for the under $1K price.
