Eternal shame on whoever planned this event for a date and time when the lawlmakers aren't even there. Making this event successful by selecting a time free of distractions like football is better than shaming people. Hoping next year is more logically planned.

Yeah, because being a RESPONSIBLE citizen that takes ownership of their own destiny when their nation is on the VERY BRINK OF OBLIVION is hard enough without distractions like...football.

Yes, eternal shame on those rally organizers!

Yikes...that pic makes my head look enormous. My *** looks pretty good though. :)
Yes you are back oh your head :D.

I'm 23, first time attending an event like this. Glad to know that I'm not alone in this fight...And I'm pretty sure everyone else there had a decade on me...

While some speakers were not engaging at all, I appreciated some of the messages. And I was a few numbers away from winning my very first pistol!

Suggestions to improve future events:

-Hold the event on a Saturday or a weekday when capitol officials are present. Never on a Sunday.
-Get some more sponsors to give people an incentive to come. The raffle for the Springfield was very generous and a great idea for a fantastic cause.
-Give the OFF a prime location for their tent. I was looking for them for several minutes before finding them in the worst location possible.

Still enjoyed the event and look forward to seeing everyone next time.

January 19th is National Gun Appreciation Day... The organizers did not pick the date, the date picked them as this was a nationwide event and not just Salem, Oregon... As far as I am concerned, "Eternal shame" to those that choose arm chair quarterbacking over Freedom... Sunday they had a choice to come or stay on their sofa's drinking beer and eating chips, it may not be that way next time... Hoping next year, there will be more logical people that are willing to stand up and be counted... Ones that have their priorities straight and if not attending and standing up for ones constitutional rights makes them feel shamed, then so be it...

Not to anyone in particular but to everyone in general

When are thickheaded, blame pinning tunnel versioned idiots going to realize that the 19th was a picked date before this game was even conceived? I mean talk about being asleep at the wheel.

Most holidays are on a date picked and does not change, stop blaming the planners who picked the 19th before any play off date was known, to move the date around the game would be wrong.

It is not their fault it is yours so quit trying to make yourself feel better by trying to pin blame on anyone but yourself for bring superficial and not having the fortitude to make the sacrifice of cancelling watching the game to attend, your priorities were set, been set and will remain set and I am not saying that is wrong for you but don't try to put it on others, own your decision and quit making excuses for your absence

I drove 560 miles yesterday and had a great day, had time to

Attended the rally
Went to the casino
Rolled into the bar looked at the TV and the hawks were down, before I got my first drink they scored and we sat there and finished a great game turn around.

Got home at midnight

Win win for us, too bad you don't know what that feels like

It is a mixed message, sure it was a decent attempt at trying to rally the troops to get off their arses. And you showed a valiant effort to ignore what you didn't like about the speakers, at-least until you could belittle them on youtube for the world. But then at the end, you throw out the demoKKKrats mantra, "extremists" are running the show. That pretty much killed any message you were trying to convey,,,

Not even if you counted everyone twice. OSP would seem to be a qualified neutral observer but I think their estimate of 350 was high.

Not if you consider that not everyone was there all at one time. I saw a lot of people coming and going, and when I left around 2:00 there were still people dribbling in.

Facts don't kill a message. If they do then the facts are not on your side.

Sorry dude, but a couple of the speakers were self-aggrandizing, made the event primarily about THEIR faith, their organization(s), and NOT the 2A. The YM aka PBP called like it was, and STILL advocated that EVERYONE should attend these rallies, so that they GET COUNTED AND REPRESENTED too... Period.

Maybe we should invite Lars Larson in advance of our next event, great speaker and supporter, would love to meet him one day and say "thank you" as I suspect others would too...

I did but he avoided the subject several times. Not sure why, and that bothered me a bit.
Not like him.

Apparently by not going to this rally I am now to be shunned as a "coward, knave and traitor", I sometimes get 1 day off of work a week and spend a large amount of my off time writing letters, sending e mails and making phone calls to these polititians letting them know my position. I am a member of the NRA, GOA, and the National association for gun rights, I make donations to OFF and any other state gun and 2nd amendment related organization I can across the USA. Oh, and did I mention that I vote! But I guess that is not enough for some, the only way to be with the "IN" 2nd amendment crowd is to have been at this rally. To have attended this rally I would have had to drive over 700 miles round trip, I know that isn't that much but it is when I worked late Saturday and had to be to work early Monday. I do appreciate the people that did attend and would love to have been able to myself but it just wasn't in the cards. And by the way, I did NOT watch the game, didn't have time for that either, probably will not have time for the stoner bowl either. Rant over.

No, people were ticked that some chose the game over the rally.
Even those that were nearby.
700 miles is a long damn drive.

My Main Thoughts About The 19th.

I showed my face from 11:50AM-2:50PM (stayed late to pick up trash)

1) For the LOVE OF GUNS stop alienating people by talking religion and politics not related to guns. This goes for Abortion, Prayer in Schools, and Homosexuality. Not saying I disagree with some of the topics here but we are here for guns. Let's talk about guns and how it pertains to the degradation to the Constitution.

2) For the LOVE OF GUNS stop inviting politicians to speak on issues other than guns. If you want to set up a booth to talk about your other issues that's fine, and I would since I'm interested in 3rd party candidates but it bothers me when you use this function as a soap box. It just shows that you care more about being elected than talking about the issue at hand.

3) For the LOVE OF GUNS how about instead of bashing Floyd Prozanski, how about we read his bill and touch on key points instead of merely saying "He sucks and he hates Jesus." Seriously, that is little better than Westbro Baptist Church. Let's talk about the legislative process and how if this bill comes out of commity where it goes, what can happen. What it means if it actually passes.

4) For the LOVE OF GUNS talk about current events such as the Portland ruling and how it pertains to CHL, how it pertains to those that don't have CHL, why we don't like it.

5) For the LOVE OF GUNS pick up the trash so I don't have to stay an extra half hour so we don't look bad.

We can't keep doing this and expecting the anti's to fully understand, recognize or validate us. I'm all for saying "Hey, we ain't baking down." We have constitutionally superior ground. Show it. Don't muddy up our arguments with things that aren't protected by the Constitution or mentioned by the Constitution.

And as always, if you really, really want to see the game... have someone tape it and turn off your phone. It is that easy.
