Those are okay - the D2 steel isn't the greatest, but for the most part it isn't bad for the price.

Cold Steel actually has a decent design as does Ka-Bar.
 
ouch...bad timing. returned from a month in kathmandu. brought back 4 of them.
military issue. hostel owner was former soldier. gave last one away in early summer.
 
I had a couple of Gurkha officers in my company at jump school. They stayed pretty much low profile as possible but were always pleasant and no problems with any of the criteria.
Later on I worked with with a Maori detachment and they were much the same way, did not need to prove anything to anybody. the two enclosed web sites are a little correct history on the Gurkha and the knife and the differant knives. Click on the size and get the price. They are not exactly cheap.
