Those are okay - the D2 steel isn't the greatest, but for the most part it isn't bad for the price.

Cold Steel actually has a decent design as does Ka-Bar.

did your new knife come with 2 smaller ones?just curious..i have the same unit also.

the sheath has pockets for the small ones, but the guy I got it from didn't have them.

The Kukris from Sarco are made of really nice steel, it's high carbon like a machete, so it flexes instead of breaks when you chop with it. The only issue with them is the handles and sheaths suck, you need to upgrade those parts. Edged Weapons ~ Knives

I had a couple of Gurkha officers in my company at jump school. They stayed pretty much low profile as possible but were always pleasant and no problems with any of the criteria.
Later on I worked with with a Maori detachment and they were much the same way, did not need to prove anything to anybody. the two enclosed web sites are a little correct history on the Gurkha and the knife and the differant knives. Click on the size and get the price. They are not exactly cheap.
