I got an idea. Cut back on the numbers of illegals entering the country.

"Outlaw grass is straightforward to identify. It's discovered at roundabouts and on median strips, adjoins sidewalks and adorns strip malls and workplace buildings. It's particularly prevalent on the frequent areas of the residential developments which are discovered throughout Las Vegas and neighboring cities.

"There are little ineffective items of grass in every single place," Mr. Hyde mentioned.

"The authority estimates there are about 3,900 acres of grass to be eliminated, which may yield financial savings of as much as 9.5 billion gallons of water yearly, or about 10 p.c of the area's allocation from the Colorado."

So that's approximately 7 1/2 FEET of water over the entire 3900 acres. I think they are overwatering a bit!!

California balks at a desalination plant ...

the California Coastal Commission wants to scuttle a desalination plant that could meet 16 percent of Orange County's water needs over concerns about plankton and "environmental justice."

"when intake pipes suck in and kill small species like plankton". For real? For f'ing real? Ok, so about the money in the infrastructure bill.....

If freshwater from rivers is being added to the "supposedly" rising oceans, it's being wasted. Forget the anadromous fish species. Lots of water is being dumped in oceans everyday. More dams = less wasted water. Less wasted water = more water, more power, more jobs, etc. We have lost 1000s, probably millions of species over billions of years, what's a few more. The human is top dog and the most adaptable when we ditch concerns for other species.

Almost 90 percent of global marine fish stocks are now fully exploited or overfished, and wild capture fisheries struggle without sound regulatory frameworks and strong enforcement.

Fish provide 17% of our meat consumption.

Eat more catfish. Seriously though I doubt a very significant percentage of our calories come from wild caught anadromous fish sources. We can live without wild salmon, but try seeing how long you can go without water.

But.... there's still plenty of rain even with climate shift. Just build aqueducts from the rain to the dry... it's easy?
That is a theme in this country some places have too much water and others not enough. I would rather see fed funds being used to build methods for transferring large amounts of water around the country rather than charging stations for teslas.

Climate change doesn't exist. Water, like oil, is a renewable resource. Liberals are trying to control you by suggesting that anything will ever change with the earth or due to the actions of people.

Vote for the status quo. Move to Arizona.

Sarcasm appreciated but climate change has existed since the planet was formed and the climate will continue to change even when the humans are extinct.

Ironic to read these comments. Here in the Portland-Vancouver area this April was the wettest on record... and that's saying something!
Yeah, because the water is falling here to run back into the ocean rather than making it to the mountains to rebuild the snowpack everything runs on.
