How does she shoot with a gutted buffer, any reliability issues from the low weight/high cycle speed? Also did you go mid gas to help with the bolt speed?

Its mandatory that you slow the bolt speed down when removing weight. Adjustable gas blocks, adjustable carrier keys, adjustable carriers that have a metering gate built in, and stiffer springs are all methods used to regulate bolt speed and dwell time to ensure chamber pressures drop before extraction begins. I wanted to regulate at the carrier because i can simply drop a full auto BCG and carbine buffer into my gun and have a full weight action without making any other adjustments to the gas system. My barrel is mid length gas 16" pencil barrel from Faxon. DSA Titanium A2, 2A .625" Titanium gas block.

This is a picture thread after all :)

Top is a Spikes Tactical (ST-15) M4LE and the other one is a Stag Stag 15 M4. The Spikes is pretty much all done up the way I like it (simple and noting on the rifle that shouldn't be there) and the Stag is my lighter weight carbine. Once I figure out how I can securely keep it locked up in a car, I'll probably have it be my car EDC. I have mixed feelings about keeping a long gun in a car but we'll see.

Finally finished my first AR! Only took 4 damn months.

Fun fact, got the Strikefire II Red Dot as a Demo model for sale at only $140 :D (Camera is playing with dots lighting by the way, not actually that "bloomy")
