I had to drop off my bestest companion Ayla to the Vet Hospital in Braby this morning to get her checked out.
She has been experiencing strange mannerism (not like her at all) since Friday morning. No energetic jumping around for the morning chow, wouldn't eat/drink any falling down.
We have been worried to say the least since she is a Lab and 12 years old.
Dr said it appears to be Anemia, red blood cells being destroyed, she cannot give a cause without a lot more $$$. Going to try steroids for a week to see if that helps alleviate her symptoms.
I'm gonna have a real tough time when she heads to the big duck pond in the sky. That little guy too.

Not really a pet, but here is my latest addition to the farm. Weston is three weeks old and already a studly boy.

So far she is drinking and eating this morning. While that a good sign, I'll have to keep a watchful eye on her. I'll take as many days as she can be with me.

She hasn't done this in almost 5 days and this is where she loves to lay down, right next to papa.
Baby steps.



And she's eating but less than half of normal.

Condolences. Even in the best case scenario when you know you've done every thing you could to give them one helofa life, it's always tough but time heals and there are certainly more good dogs in desperate need of great homes.

Just finished up sending Ayla off on her journey, never easy but know she is pain free and chasing my neighbors chickens that get in the yard.
