The primer isn't flattened at all. That looks like a flattened and pierced primer. Only time I've seen that was when I shot a rifle round that was waaay too hot. Mistakes can happen, even to the most careful loaders
thats exactly what I ws writing, but you beat me to it. dangThe primer isn't flattened at all.
It got pierced because there was nothing there to support it at the time of ignition.. it was then reseated to normal depth by rearward giggity pressure.
Looks flatter than normal to me. Just stating my observationsThe primer isn't flattened at all.

You don't sound nearly excited enough about a base plate stuck in your foot. I'd have been jumping around like Yosemite SamYeah, I am leaning toward overcharge, It was LOUD, and blew the glasses right off my face, sent the magazine baseplate through my shoe into my foot. The case is not bulged anywhere, just one side is blown out, and the primer actually has a hole all the way through it. I don't remember much but a loud bang, big flash, and my hand felt numb for awhile. We never found the magazine body, just the baseplate stuck in my foot and a mangled spring. Thanks for the answers and opinions. Guy
To be honest, I didnt even notice it till my friend pointed out all the blood, didnt even feel it then, but now it hurts like a mutha lolYou don't sound nearly excited enough about a base plate stuck in your foot. I'd have been jumping around like Yosemite Sam
Dancing around like a lil'girl... that's one way to get a corner torn off your man card.....You don't sound nearly excited enough about a base plate stuck in your foot. I'd have been jumping around like Yosemite Sam
Have you ever seen a grossly flattened primer due to overpressure?Looks flatter than normal to me. Just stating my observations
