"David Maxfield Jr. and Allen Boal agreed to a plea deal Tuesday in Benton County Circuit Court in connection with the August 2016 incident in the Kings Valley area. Maxfield pled guilty to misdemeanor poaching charges. Boal pled no contest but faces similar punishment."

This is all they could get? Plea dealing is just lack of confidence by prosecutors & justice departments in America!!!:mad::mad:
This is 100% not true. The majority of cases in the US are plead out because it's cheaper and takes less time. DA's and ADA's are overloaded as are the judges. The state/city/county doesn't have to pay hours of overtime for their LEO to sit in court. Also, while that LEO sits in court, it is one less unit on the road. Worse case is your paying them OT and another LEO OT to cover his shift. It saves a ton of time for everyone to go to the defendant and their lawyer and say "listen, we can get you on X,Y, and Z but if you plead out, we'll just charge you with X and a fine.". Most take the deal as they know they are guilty and the evidence is abundantly clear they are guilty. If the states evidence was poor any lawyer and the defendant would feoce it to trial and get off, not take a plea deal.
