I did have to sign a letter agreeing to let them dispose of the old rifle and they file a letter with the BATFELMNOP. They are sending a new rifle with new serial and yes, that includes yet another unconstitutional back ground check. Rifle has to go directly to a FFL, which lucky for me is my place of employment and makes the wait for it to arrive that much quicker.
