As I stated recently in a related thread, persons from New York, especially Long Island, tend to have a distorted perception of the world and impose their sense of moral narcissism onto others. Unfortunately many have located in the greater Portland area with their imposing gun control ideas.
In the 1950's and 1960's Long Island was overrun with Cowboy an Cowgirl children sporting Mattel Chrome Plastic Colt 45's and along with the adult owned abundance of WW II GI Weapons, few if any persons were shot by a adolescent.
Many of these California [and West Coast] and New York [and East Coast] radical leftists are moralistic and narcissistic personalities who are extroverted, intuitive and not observant nor fact finding, are feeling oriented, and very assertive with the emotional turbulence resulting in destructive decision-policy making. One can see a dramatic although archaic characteristic of their "overly" stereo typed angered personality traits, as seen immediately above; among the women and men that present themselves in this anti-gun policy making arena. Almost impossible to reason with these persons because of their unstable emotions and thinking.
