NJ sues SIG for FTEs in P229

I read about this a few days ago and it was determined by sig to be a batch of out of spec barrels. They sent a rep out to njsp and the rep witnessed the guns and inspected them and made that determination.

There was also supposedly a difference between t&e guns and the ones sent to fulfill the contract. Cosmetic i think - t&e were base models, contract guns were elite models - now instead of letting Sig make it right they just ditched them and bought Glocks and expect Sig to pay for them. Sig should countersue for breech of contract. If Sig gives NJ its money back Sig should get all the guns back so they can be refurbed and sold via cpo program.

Kind of figured there had to be some more to this. I have to wonder though if the "training ammo" was something new, or if they were using it when the contract went out. If they were using it when the contract went out Sig of course should have prepared for this. Bottom line still comes down to the only winners now will be the damn lawyers.

It's training ammo, so train, that includs malfunction drills. What's the problem?
