either set up a living trust document, pay $200 and apply for the suppressor under the trust.

Or get pictures taken, a signed letter from your sheriff, fingerprints, pay the $200 and then apply.

There's a little to figuring it out the first time, but once you have the procedure it's really not that hard. You need to find a good NFA dealer and then they will help you through it. If you need I can recommend a few in teh Portland /Vancouver area for you. PM me if you wish.

Basically if you can own a regular firearm legally then you ca own NFA. There are a few different regulations in different states that tell you what you can or can't own, but in Oregon pretty much everything is good. In Washington not so nice for NFA. I mean come on.....you can own a suppressor, but you can't use it?

The costs in NFA are higher for the the BATF paperwork and dealers' signature and the term "Instant Gratification" doesn't exist in the NFA purchasing process as you are looking at a minimum of two months right now from when you buy it from a dealer who has it in stock to when you can take it home. In reality it's more like three months or so. In the past it has taken six to eight months for the BATF to do the paperwork.

Also be aware that it is very addictive. Even more so than standard firearms in some cases. Also more expensive.

Lots of fine weapons. I had an Thompson M1C(alloy frame and receiver) that I had SBR'd. Anyone ever fired an HK21, I've always wondered about why they weren't more popular with military units. Seems like a good setup with lighter weight than a 240B or MG3.

I have fired a 21, I have 4 of them. :D
They are fine as long as you have them set up right so they don't beat you up. They are also nice since they have a middle position - semi.
Here are a few of mine.
