If you can travel south a little, Cascade Laser Corporation Awards and Engraving in Newberg does a great job. Haven't used them in a few years but they charged me $14.50 to engrave a SBR lower. Probably a little more expensive now.

What do you mean? If you don't serialize and engrave your item and submit the paper work you have illegally created a class 3 item which is a felony and can have the ATF raid your house.

I think I understand now. So, we're talking about stripped lowers that have been built and must be serialized and registered with the BATF?
I'm sorry for appearing dumb, but Im not famaliar with the AR platform OR the new gun laws...

This is in reference to building an NFA item ( like a short barreled rifle ), has nothing to do with ARs specifically or "new" laws.

No we are talking about making a SBR or a full auto conversion. Because you are converting it to a class 3 item you need to serialize it as such on top of the original serial number.

what do you mean? you do have to engrave the trust name and everything else. I should not have said serial i guess meant trust info

I guess I shouldnt have said Serial number I meant all the info about the trust and manufacturer.

Okay, sitting in the parking lot after just having left Tactical Guardian in Sherwood. Laser engraved, and their Cerikote prices are the best I've found in the area! They are great, knowledgeable, and friendly! Definitely doing more work with them later.

While I don't have any experience with their engraving, I've had good response and communication from J&R Engraving out here in Gresham of 200th and Stark. They are NFA dealers and I just did a suppressor purchase through them. I'll update as the process moves along.
