When Springfield did I wasn't too impressed. Most of their firearms don't even sell in Dick's Sporting goods stores.

This however is a pretty good one. As Dicks does sell a lot of shotguns.

Get Remington to cut ties and you'll have about 1/2 of the stuff on the shelf gone.

Savage, Stoeger, and a handful of other smaller brands need to join in.

Ruger should do it anyways. Though they publicly stated they have no control over the distributors they sell to.
