So, my question is with so many hunters hating us (anyone who owns an evil "assault weapon") and wanting our firearms confiscated, how do we get them on our side? Or at least get them to quit trying to throw us under the gun control bus?

I personally don't see them coming around until the govt goes after their "sniper rifles" and room clearing "combat shotguns", but by then it'll be too late for us.

It is a good question, with no easy answer. There are many pro-2A hunters, but, as mentioned, some who aren't. I suppose we need to convince them the antis aren't going to stop until all firearms are banned. There is a good amount of evidence of that. Not to mention many of the anti-2A crew are outright hostile to rural people.

I remember in the wake of the DC Sniper attacks, one of the anti-freedom muppets proposed banning "high powered rifles with scopes". I remember thinking I hope my fellow hunters are paying attention.

I might have missed it, but didn't see anyone mention how Montana let Jon Tester get reelected last year, given his lukewarm stance on guns. Senators are pretty powerful as well.

Another Democrat who demonstrates, quite typically, either one or or all of the following:

* Complete intellectually bankrupt
* Total disinterest in history or the Constitution
* Total disregard for his/her oaths of office (state and federal preservation of rights, obligations to duty, etc.)
* Total dishonest and disingenious statements
* Attempts for complete disarmament of the people and stripping people of rights

Never thought I'd see a day when a governor of Montana would be spewing anti-2A drivel.

Quite simple. At some point, probably related to what they are doing at Cern, we entered "clown world" where grown men use little girls restrooms, and the governer on MT is a flipping anti gun Democrat.

Also, its Bernstein bears, not berestain. This switch hapoened at the same time.

It seems rich people are buying up huge amounts of land in these inexpensive red states like Montana, and then changing the political landscapes there.

How did freedom loving Montana of all places, get a California style fascist governor? Sheesh, where can a person go anymore and have sane Constitutional following politicians? Heaven?

Montanans of all people I think would be obliged to burn that cruddy city of Missoula to the ground (which promotes these politics). MOst of the anti-gun people in Missoula are mostly Big City Californian, Chicago and East Coast transplants who claim they need to save Montana from all its crazy laws (letting people have too much freedom, dangerous, right?) and make it a better place like San Francisco, Chicago, New York where all these bozos ran away from. We all know totalitarian big-government police states are the most successful, right?

I sure hope the sky doesn't fall in Big Sky.. That is one of those places I was thinking I could retreat to when things get too bad in the rest of the country.

It's called transplants with lots of money and big egos who want to take over the state.. Think Missoula And Bozeman (aka Boze Angeles, since most of the people in the city are from Southern California now).

Once upon time Oregon use to be much like Montana.. Then came all the outsiders with new ideas and a hatred of the locals who were natives to the state.

Hence, Oregon's cities are now complete sh*tholes.. They want to help make Montana the same way.

Stay away from the cities and its still a pretty good place.
MT is a fantastic place... it's almost magical, not unlike OR.

Unfortunately, the state is turning purple at an alarming rate. And just like Texas, it's not from a shift in thinking or an organic revolution, ie: citizens "evolving" and/or embracing progressive ideals.

The change is coming from outsiders moving in, 100%.
Liberals, hipsters, progressives, and tech-industry leftist autobots are changing the demographic makeup. They've made the states they came from unlivable with high taxes and progressive ideals. Anybody remember Nancy Pelosi espousing "San Francisco values" for the entire USA? Yeah, insane. But they don't see it that way.

Neither is this an "organic" event. Lefty Dems and their useful idiots have mounted "Turn [insert state *here*] BLUE!" campaigns. WY and UT are next.

I spent most of last winter running MT... seeing REAL cowboys in line at the Bozeman Wal*Mart standing next to a man-bun sporting hipster in horn-rim glasses and designer lumberjack attire was jarring to me... it's the exact kind of thing I used to see in AZ before I left. I thought AZ was getting too Californicated and moved to OR (which looks great... on paper). Wow... hear that phone ringing? It's your wake-up call, Yuma... dummy.

Jonnyuma.. You should see what's happening in Nashville, TN.. What once was a fairly conservative city with the country surrounded all around it is now turning into another liberal Southern San Francisco.. Think a bigger version of Asheville, NC.. The city is being overrun with progressives from Big City California, liberal Midwestern cities and East Coast cities. I find it funny when I go to East Nashville (the most hipster/liberal and youngest neighborhood) how people just openly mock Republicans, the state of Tennessee government and start joking with me as if I must agree with what they are saying for even being in a bar in East Nashville. In fact, almost all of Nashville is pretty radically blue and it sucks. Hardly, anybody from the city of Nashville is even from Nashville. I live luckily outside of Davidson county and it is night and day more conservative. But, the hordes of socialists/fascists are moving everywhere to escape the hellholes they have made.

I was happy to see the state of Pennsylvania strike down the fascist legislation that the city of Pittsburgh thought it could pass giving the finger to the state law of pre-emption for gun laws. I am Jewish, myself , and the last thing I want is after a Neo-Nazi shoots of a synagogue is to have a new law saying we can go to prison if we have possession of guns that can protect our communities. It is almost like these criminal governments welcome such massacres. Like banning semi auto rifles in the city will prevent more people living in the city from being massacred. It's already illegal to murder people and shoot up religious institutions! Pathetic and insane legislation from the Nazi mayor of Pittsburgh!

Sadly, it is almost like the big transplant cities are now declaring war with the natives of the state who live outside the city. I seriously, think we should have laws that prevent one city from controlling an entire state (like we do with Electoral College at Federal level, which the Dems are now trying to abolish after the last election).

This is why Oregon and Washington went to crap. These two states use to be some of the most gun friendly, rationally minded places (esp Washington, no state tax, first state to legalize conceal carry, etc) and now they are turning into Soviet Union Part II.

I grew up in Oregon and really miss it a lot, but I am not going to live in a state where the government can bust down my door , kill my children and disarm me because I made a facebook post they didn't agree with or where an angry co-worker or ex-girlfriend goes to the cops and says I shouldn't own guns because they don't like me or agree with me on some issue. I won't live in any state with Red Flag laws (FL being the exception, but even questioning if FL's Red Flag laws are too sketchy for me). The Civil War has already started in the Northwest in my opinion.
