On several occasions while typing a response to a thread I find I am logged off! By the time I log back on the long response I typed is gone!

The inactivity timer is way to short, in my humble opinion. And why it does not recognize that you are typing a response is very strange.

Is there a fix to this issue or am I the only one with the issue?

That has come up in the past let me take a look and see if I can find what the fix was. Nothing like typing a 500 word post and then losing it.

I am moving this thread to site suggestions.

Here is the fix if you have access to the Admin Controls:

go to VBulletin Options

Select Cookies and Http Header Options

Go down to "Session Timeout"

Its in seconds so set it to 3600 to 5000 and you will give us all an hour if I did my math correctly.

Don't forget to hit save on the way out to lock in the change.

Joey will have to change anything under the Admin panel.

I thought he might have to make that change. Its his call and he may have a reason for the super fast inactive shutoff that is currently in place.

But VBulletin is very detailed and my fix might assist him in finding the right place to make the change without spending hours trying to find the right screens.
