Glad I did not disclose to her that I have ar's. She was just simply irrational and her facts were all wrong. From what you say, she has been aware of the place, firearms have in your life, for around 4.75 years but has waited all of this time, too drop how deeply her anger runs. Don't forget the BACK door locks too! Anything she's ever had unsupervised access to a key for--even if you have a fence, those can be hopped, or for all you know she has a copy of the gate keys.

Call me paranoid, but the life I've lived and the places I've been, there's no such thing as "too cautious" when it comes to exes and soon-to-be-exes.

My sister...she's 70 and I'm not far behind. She's pretty far left, and I'm not. I stay away from politics with her. We've been very close our whole life.

A year ago our families were on vacation together, and she decided it was the perfect time to impress on me how wrong my views are, including firearms ownership. I suggested that religion and politics is the great divider of friends and families, so let's drop it. She reluctantly agreed, but then got a couple final jabs in. And I reminded her, my side is never allowed an opinion, and even til the end, the leftists will insist on the last words and insults.

He used to be an easygoing, great, fun-loving guy. Now we handle him with gloves. I actually dread his phone calls, and that is sad.

I am a nurse, a psych nurse, and umm, I look like an overweight diminutive sasquatch. Do not hit on the nurses or we will make sure you get someone like me, and I sure ain't eye candy.

When I was 23 I met a 28yr old gal that had two kids. She could cook like wow! And was a tiger in bed. Two weeks later I moved in... two weeks later she quit her job. Told me that she thought Moms should stay home with the kids... hard to disagree with that. I married her.

I lived the next 10yrs in misery! It was the worst mistake I made in my entire life. I stayed for the kids... mom became a drunk and there was nobody else to take care of them. The affairs were many on each side. She left me for a guy that had more $$$.

After the split, she found guy after guy to move in and support her and her kids. I found out later that there was physical and sexual abuse (of the kids). It continued until she no longer had the looks to get new guys.

The thing I didn't realize until it was too late, was that she was always that way... I was just sucker #1!!!

I had a childless ex-fiance who was too lazy to work or lift a finger around the house--She played solitare all day long on the computer, near as I can tell--shoulda dumped her but instead I supported her for 7 years and did meth--The time did seem to go by pretty fast, so at least there was that

Front door locks have been changed. Rear doors are not accessible due to gated back yard. Received a phone call via text message decoding and wondering if I have cooled down as of yet. I am drafting a letter for email notifying her not to contact me for this week leading up to the surgery and for the 5 days there after. Will notify her to look for other housing when her lease expires. Very sad situation but the risk is to way too high for me to have her here with her rabid anti-firearms beliefs. Her temper is too much of a problem along with her leftist ideas.

What a very trying experience; sorry to hear of the woes. Sounds like you may have dodged a major bullet though. (I have a brother who just went through the mother of all divorces, so, believe me, it can be worse.) Here's hoping your surgery goes well. Hang in there man.
