1.) QD if you plan to use it most often on a carbine host. Threaded if you are mainly using it on a sidearm that you may carry in a holster once in awhile.
2.) Steel (I wouldn't buy a "B" grade Ti can for the same price as an "A" grade steel core can. Weight doesn't mean much to me.)
3.) The best you can afford, made by the company with the best customer service record, and via the SOT that you want to build a relationship with.
