Assault-Weapons Bans Gain Momentum in Democratic-Controlled States - WSJ

The left is nothing if not proficient at marketing and solidarity. They run a tight ship like a corporation with a credible history of hostile takeover's.
Coupled with a rash of well armed psychopaths … how could they possibly fail against conservatives that can't organize and deliver a cohesive message? The Republican Party has been rapidly evolving mostly for disingenuous reasons but old ways die hard with incumbents. Our leaders, particularly the conservative ones are elected for promises they make during a campaign but their loyalty is firmly anchored in the PACs which harbor them. Take inventory of their record for delivering on the will of their constituents over last several decades? Where's the peaceable assembly to protest from conservatives? I don't recall one. It's far overdue and our kids will never know a balance of power unless we get off our asses and fight for them. What will that take? What is the final straw?

I legally own a a Russian SKS that was my father's. It has tremendous sentimental value for me because of our history shooting them together and because it was one of the adversary's weapon's during my era of service.
So I withdraw my earlier claim. According to the State of Washington I own an Assault Rifle with a fixed 10rd magazine. I'm protected by the 'grandfather' clause… for now. Any bets of or how long?
How about ammunition? Which will make the first "assault calibers" and how much longer do you expect to see any ammunition of any caliber on the shelves? Did you ever imagine the day would come in which a box of .22LR would be unobtainable?
It won't be long before many of us are deemed criminals and terrorists. Are you comforted by the fact your gun safe is stocked only with muzzle loaders, bolt action funding rifles, and maybe a revolver or two? I favor lever action carbines myself. If not already in draft, they are on the next list with pumps and revolvers. Just wait and see how they respond to the next 'mass murderer' armed with a revolver. Ever since the Valentines Day Massacre law abiding citizens rights have and continue to be whittled down. Will it stop when we're left with toothpicks?
"Only the military and law enforcement should own assault rifles". Take a good hard look at our justice system and sing that refrain. "You don't need guns for self protection. The police will protect you." What's the average response time for a defunded agency to prevent an angry mob hell bent on imposing their terminal uniqueness?
Look at the astonishing real time evolution of our military. How will that play out in readiness for defense of our nation?
"We need our rifles for hunting and subsistence!"
Guess what? You don't need to hunt game. Go to the grocery store like everyone else you big cry babies. Your government will provide you with everything you need.
The spirit of intent with the 2nd amendment is well documented and our forefathers didn't invent the concept. Joe Biden pokes fun at the suggestion. 'They think they can defeat our F-15s with AR-15s…' he jests. Arguably a veiled threat but they aren't confiscating weapons for public safety. The fact is no armed conflict has ever been decided or ended without boots on the ground and their rifles despite the most sophisticated advances in technology and industrial weapons. Don't believe it? Did air superiority help in Afghanistan? Who were holding Our M4's we turned tail and fled?
I realize for many this is gospel for the choir. There are those who utterly refute any of this and won't even consider it. Some are left wing radicals but many are not. The fact is most of the country is centrist and fed nothing but divisive messaging and information that is tearing us apart. I don't judge someone by what's in their gun cabinet but I'm concerned how many endorse a weapons ban and gun rights reform because they only hold dear their 30-06 deer rifle and judge those deplorable for defending an assault rifle. For those encourage a humble and diligent effort to learn about the history and intent behind our founders insistence and inclusion of 2nd Amendment rights. If due diligence in this challenge is exercised and reform advocates "stick to their guns" then I shall relent.

Yep, I was primarily being facetious. It's funny how Biden's son is on video doing blow and prostitutes, and Biden himself can be clearly implicated in corrupt business dealings, but somehow the media is not interested in that and still foments everything about Trump.
