Outside of a crime, what "other" reason would anyone wipe down EDC rounds and mags and load them with gloves on?

seriously, "just curious"? (honest question)

It's actually commonly taught to wipe off fingerprints from loaded ammo so that it doesn't corrode from the oils and salt left from your fingers.

The NRA basic handgun course teaches that.
