There is a HUGE lack of information in that story.

Yes the utility company surely has an easement plus I am sure it is in the "contract" she signed with the company when she got the utility. IF she told the guy to go away then became physical or "pulled" the gun on the guy first she is the one that will be having legal trouble.

If the utility guy went hands on her first then he will probably lose his job and she will never have a utility bill from that company again. Proper action for utility guy if she was "obstructing" his work is to report it to his supervisor and follow up in a legal manner. If he went hands on first he is so far in the wrong he is lucky he did not get shot.

Silly woman we have a smart meter and our bill has gone down because of it. We do things like wash our clothes and run the dishwasher late at night (electric water heater) we also tend to get up very early and are out of the house before the day rates start. So the Smart meter has saved us money by charging us the off hours rates.

The meters can't tell what you have on it can only tell what the current draw is at a specific time. If you have a light bulb on and your computer and TV and electric water heater the meter can only tell what the draw is.

These people on this video need to refold their tin foil hats.
