If you have a small split shot (I carry a few) you can pinch it on the hook by the eye, then slip the paracord over and melt it. Now you have a weighted jig, very easy to cast! In the text the gentleman mentioned using a black lure in clear water. I also like black for murky water, just make a little more commotion with the lure. I'm talking store bought jigs but can't imagine why paracord jigs wouldn't work as well. This instructable was very clever!!!
I think it might work better tied streamer style. Light color on bottom and dark on the top.
Its one thing to catch fisherman another to catch fish. Tied steamer style the material should work as well as a deer hair streamer a very productive lure for Salmon and trout alike
