How Can I View a Thread From the Beginning?

Hello,

First, this is not a complaint. It's just something I know I'm doing wrong
I would like to be able to figure it out.

When I open any thread, it takes me to the last post.
So if I spot a new thread I want to view that has 6 or so pages it takes me to the last page.
So I go back to the first page and start reading.

This is not a life ending behavior for me but I know there must be somewhere in the
preferences a way to set it up for me to start at the beginning of a thread I open. I can't find it.

Any help would be much appreciated.
If this is a normal behavior for this site it is no big deal.
I just think I am missing something.
I love this place. A really great gathering of folks.
I am, however, much better looking than the average in here..........

Hmm, that's really odd. The software should take you to the first unread post when you click on a thread title (or if you click on a page number it'll take you to a specific thread). Is this happening on multiple devices/browsers?
