Yes on anything but range toys I will at the very least be using a prism type with an etched reticle as suggested by Reno.

Yes, I have two Mepro M21s and I will probably get a Trijicon RMR (dual, tritium and fiber optics). I think about the only thing I would use a red dot on would be a rimfire.

I did receive a new optic back last week but no mention of my money I spent to ship. I have mounted it and all is functioning correctly so far but I have not shot it yet. Time will tell.

I had a similar problem with a Vortex AMG. It would drain a battery overnight.
Vortex replaced it with a new one that works properly. Sometimes stuff slips through the cracks. Good companies take care of the problem.

Since this was brought up in another post I will update. I was never reimbursed for the shipping to send it back. The turn around was decent on the new unit they sent out and as of yesterday replacement is still working . I will still only trust it on a range gun for now.

Osprey, I will buy it off you if you ever want to part with it. I need one more for an AK that need a red dot.
