predicted to hit here this afternoon so I planned my day accordingly
wind just hit, blew the snow off the trees
Looking like the worst is over here east of Clackamas..... hopefully!!!!
Wind knocked out the power here in Ridgefield.
A tree down closed 242 at Cleveland, another tree down on Main Gresham
Power out various sections of Gresham
A tree blew over across the street from me. Landed on 2 cars totaling them. Nobody hurt though...
No problem in LaPine - pretty breezy when I got home but nothing damaging
Tree went down, taking wires with it on NE Ainsworth, in PDX.
Much of Cowlitz county had the power knocked out around 2:00 - didn't come back up till just before midnight in my area but PUD stated that it could take a few days to get everyone back on line.
Way up here in the north of WA near the Canadian border we had Snowmegeddon yesterday. 8 inches of blowing snow with temps in the 20's. No trees to blow down but the sage took a beating. Quieted down around midnight. Thank goodness for 4 wheel drives and winter survival gear. Speaking of which I need to go get ready for work in a few. Our closest neighbors did not even make it home last night. Will check on them in a few. Stay warm and safe out there.
