High Prices for Arms and Ammo... it's just not American

it could be a little worse. I just read a thread on Calguns.net that people started for a shop that got some AR's on the wall. Everyone on the thread was really excited that a shop had a dozen Colt's and Bushmasters for $1800. Ouch!
 
It is getting to the point that if a mugger demands my money, and I have my carrygun, might be cheaper to just give him my money clip, the ammo costs more than the money I carry!!LOL
Just in jest, please no flames.
