I'm actually glad this was posted... I think I found a good place to buy .30 Carbine...
Unless anyone can suggest a source that offers it for less than $20 a box.

It's other people's fault for actually believing it is worth more than that...

I have a solution, give hoarders a psych evaluation.
That way us "collectors" can expand our collections!
Oh man if only, currently dropping half my collection as we speak. Even my ak is gunn go up. Although another m1 garand is never a wrong move:rolleyes:

Rumor has it that the CMP will exhaust their supply of M1s next year.
Reputation of the Korean surplus M1 rifles have pretty worn out muzzles.
Not shot very much but cleaned a lot with steel cleaning rods.:eek:
I have seen a M1 with a worn muzzle could not even hit anywhere on the
target at 100 yards. Little gun show at the square dance center yesterday
a guy claimed to have an original 1964 NM M-1 Garand!
He only wanted $5000. for it.:confused::confused:

You need to be careful there. It's a fine line between Collecting and Hording.

You may find yourself in a opportunity rich environment like I did years ago at the CMP.
Only to realize you have somehow shifted from the former, to the latter. o_O

The difference between hoarding and collecting is in the eyes of the observer not the collector. If I can have a gun on the rack collecting dust then I can certainly have a rack in the vault collecting guns. My buddy who looks on in envy sees me hoarding what he wishes he had collected enough money to have for himself.

What is a hoarder but a collector with more?

I did the same. Saw this and even though I wasn't in the market or have the money I was ready to buy.
With things the way they are in the gun world I wouldn't be surprised if you get some crazy deals.

But alas, reality brought me back to life.

Wah, wah

In a capitalist society you will either have hoarders, price gougers, business enforced purchase limits or government imposed restrictions.
Hoarders are simply people trying to corner the market or they simply planned better than most.
