These Remora holsters are great for grab and go. I have several for the various models I tend to carry. There are plenty of YouTube videos on the holsters which can help you decide if one is right for you.

My solution has been a J frame in a pocket holster in my coat pocket. It's a very fast draw when seated.

There aren't enough situations ($$$) where these experiments can be done safely; so I find the videos very informative.

Cold War era reality; picking up equipment off the drop zones at Ft Bragg and conducting ballistics tests with it was highly discouraged for line units.....it's amazing how far a kevelar helmet can roll when shot with a 5.56....
