I greatly miss Victoria Taft on the radio. I'd certainly support the effort and definitely make time to listen, but we need that viewpoint where the masses can get it.

Billionaires on either side of the political spectrum do not want the peasants armed. They mostly just want to make money and have their so called power.

The right billionaires want companies to make billions without regulation and slave labor. They already have the right to control guns at work by firing people and thus controlling income. The left billionaires want the salve labor to be dependent on the state for everything, they just have a glitch in the works with the second amendment and dont want the peasants banding together. Just as the right spends money to make businesses as powerful as possible over their workers, the left spends the money on anti-gun in the guise of public benefit.

The right politicians pretend to support the second amendment because it keeps their base electing them to keep their little slice on power and give them the access to make millions as a politician. But as we see from this recent cycle, they cave easily to support for restrictions. They dont have any more desire to have a revolt of the peasants because they would go down too. Boquist threatening his base last year with government omnipotence (the NSA is watching you) and this year "opposing" the gun ban.

None of them are on "our" side.

The only other politician I've been able to find in the responses was Boquist, who as expected was pretty darned good. None of the rest wanted to take a stand.

IMO it's looking like a lot of people are riled up and I hope that leads to a large turnout. 43 will go down in flames one way or another so long as we continue to apply pressure.

Expect our Leftislasture to pass an atrocity next February as an EMERGENCY when this one goes SPLAT.

Pray that we win so there will be more Rs in the legislature by then; maybe one in the Governor's office.

For those who now have standing for a challenge and wish to do so, NOW is where we sink this ship! Time to break out the Oregon Constitution, dust that sucker off and slap it on the bench of the Supreme Court and point out Oregons 2nd and all the UN- Constitutnal stuff this contains, and demand a full accounting of the Oregon BOR Right then and there!

Well said and well thought. We need to keep in mind lower court judges are using the Constitution and B of R for toilet paper!!

I agree, we need a voice that is heard regularly. Are you thinking of a commercial, a talk show, or something else? Maybe Lars could have a daily 2A spot on his show?

I haven't listened to Lars much in the last couple of days so not sure what, if anything, he's said about IP43.

On the weekend, the radio has talk shows "Gun Talk" and "Armed American Radio". One, or both have talked some about IP43. Both good shows.

Maybe leaflets placed in places where many people visit - grocery stores, gun and sporting goods stores, fishing stores, libraries, churches, or stick them in people's doors/on the porch, etc, and have some teachers sneak a pile into the teacher's lounge - wait, no, there are cameras in there!

Honestly, how many gun owners are engaged enough in the politics of 2A to even be aware that this is happening? I still, to this day, meet folks that have never heard of SB941 - passed 3 years ago - and they still don't know about it. Fact is, until I came to NWFA, I was completely out of the loop for this stuff - unless it made big time news, I wasn't aware of what was going on. I don't know how to fix that problem, but unless you're a member of NWFA, OFF, OHA, etc, or you pay really close attention to the news, chances are you don't even know what's coming.

The 1,500+ challenges to IP43 made the news tonight - on KGW 8 - they mentioned this bill's proposed title has had more challenges than any in recent history - called it 'lots of opposition'. No doubt they want to stir up lots of anti-gun support if this gets to the signature stage.

Next step in the initiative process with be to gather 88,000 signatures to get the initiative on the November ballot.

Nope. The next step, if you provided comments on the Draft Ballot Title, is to file a motion with the Oregon Supreme Court to challenge the Certified Ballot Title when the AG provides that. This is FAR from headed to the ballot, and Supreme Court challenges could easiiy tie this up for another 6 months. Keep up the fight everyone!

Perhaps we just need to find some good ole Federalists... But then again, a Federalist, in the traditional sense, would never get elected in Oregon's current socialistic atmosphere.
