It's far from over. They still want to change and add other laws. Forcing private sales to go through background checks is another one we have to fight as well.

This is one small victory in what will be an ongoing war for the next four years of the current administration. I am not optimistic about Oregon. We will be the next to be "Kalifornicated". I am preparing to "vote with my feet" and will leave this state when it happens.

Great news for Oregon.. I was just visiting family in Portland last week. I grew up in Oregon and don't want it to be fed to the birds such as the Communist Third-World State, known as Kalifornia.

Anyhow, I encourage everyone who wants to leave Oregon to move to Washington. You are wanted here.

I'm thinking Washington will overcome the onslaught of the negative immigration.

There is more of a working-class, blue collar element in Washington, even in the Seattle/Tacoma area, which helps balance out the insanity of the liberals here. Sadly, Oregon is just being overrun with bleeding-heart liberal Kommiefornians and East Coasters who want to destroy the beautiful , peaceful state I once knew, so it can become a hellhole like the places they came from. Portland seems to attract a lot of the lazy, hipster, socialist, welfare-recipient minded people who like to be in a place where they can share a house with 8 people , work a 3 hour job and get a good chunk of government benefits to help with their lifestyle. They also believe abolishing of our freedoms and personal liberties, unless it has to do with drugs or your sexuality, as well as making demands that those who do not work get paid for this way of life by those who do believe in a hard work ethic.

Looks to me like they figured out the votes just weren't there, good news for now. Burdick won't give up though... if she cant get a first down she will settle for a yard or two, we must keep up the fight.

I actually now think that this was the intention all along. Politicians, ALL politicians use this tactic to slowly get what they want: Introduce a slew of bills on the subject they're fighting for, KNOWING that some of them will fail, but then working on the other ones while nobody is paying attention. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

We need to remember these people during the next elections. Things are forgotten very easily in the political world. Keep up pressure on everyone. they may want to ease up be we can not afford to.

If Oregon can get the left-wingers stopped there is hope yet for the Republic..... :s0155:

:s0114::s0114::s0114:

Oregon is so left, there is very little chance of it ever going center or right ever again. The liberals and public employees and their unions can slam dunk any vote they want to in his state. Voting them out is not going to happen. Unfortunately, there are so many liberal Dems and the public employees feeding at the public trough, that any turn back is not going to happen any time soon. Multhomah, Lane, and Benton counties control the state. Get used to it for the next 50 or so years.

Until the state economy crashes and all these clowns have no jobs or handouts.

And now they've introduced House Bill 3200, which bans the possession of semi-automatic rifles, pistols, and shotguns, except the limit of one registered firearm and three magazines per law-abiding citizen.

Why does it feel that we've gone from bad to worse?
