There is almost nothing that we buy that isn't dependent to a large degree on energy costs, whether it is any kind of fuel or electricity.

I just picked the highest number you had on your list. There are a whole lot of things I can cut out of my life before the food budget takes a hit. I just didn't want the blanket statement of "doesn't matter" because frankly it does matter. If gas were $25/gallon something would have to give in the typical household that chest puffing won't compensate for

I hope oil and fuel prices go higher and stay high. It will not help the incumbent in Nov 2024.

2019 - 649 million barrels
Today - 371 million barrels

Has not been this low since 1982
