Try having a four foot stent removed for kidney stones. After the first two feet the female tech says.." You stopped breathing"..."You're dam right I stopped breathing" !

My dad had that procedure done, and he was a tough SOB. He said it hurt like HELLTry having a four foot stent removed for kidney stones. After the first two feet the female tech says.." You stopped breathing"..."You're dam right I stopped breathing" !

The whole bill for kidney stones was around $20,000 if I include everybody involved. Now I drink lots of water!!!
Why should I have one? I am perfectly healthy, no pain or bleeding. I even had my doctor say that the trauma of the procedure might not be worth the risk.
A few years later and a new doc said I really should, I said ok, but kept putting it off. Back to the doc for annual check up (68 years old and feeling fine). He asked if I'd had my colonoscopy, I said not yet, but supposed I should. He referred me and got one scheduled.
Worse part was drinking the prep. They doped me and I went right under. Next thing I knew I wake up in recovery and the Doctor comes in and tells me what they found didn't look good and they took samples to send out.
Bottom line I had cancer. They took about a foot a half of my colon out and said I looked good. Six months later back in for another exam, wake up in recovery to get the news that there was more cancer. In for another colon shortening. Two colonoscopies later I am still cancer free, feeling fine and happy to be alive.
GO GET IT DONE.

Yeah...once you get them, you are likely to again and again. I drink a gallon a day plus take the maximum dose of Allopurinol, which helps slow the re-occurrences.
It's amazing how a 9mm rock can be worth so much. I hope Trump care helps get costs back down to where they should be.
I have VA since the last tier was restored. Otherwise I be dead or broke by now. Toooo many health issues.
Yup, mine was 9mm too. Had it for months while waiting to be scheduled. Not fun.

Don't fear the A$$ CAM.
It can literally save your life.
I keep seeing how most were put under. I was wide awake and watching the whole procedure on a monitor. It was really interesting.
The VA made you wait for months packing a 9mm stone ? Sounds more like a dam Japanese prison camp![]()
