This country messes up every police action in history. The first Korea, look at where we are now. Vietnam, where are the benefits for the 50,000+ names on the wall? Cheap clothing? Decades in the middle east? The best military people being screwed by military government policy. My opinion we will take the hit and fall into the one world order and happily give up our freedom for safety.

I saw the Hawaii article, or rather one on the same topic, elsewhere. I downloaded the short guide they are putting out, though it is pretty much the same type of material put out by Civil Defense in years past. While, thankfully, an unlikely scenario, it is good to see the Aloha State taking the threat at least somewhat seriously.

The international bankers need us to get on board with the 'NORKs are bad' program. The news feeds us and we get emotional. The navy is sent over to harrass them and potentially bait them into an agressive move. Then we cry out for a response and wave our flags as the bankers laugh and prepare to offer loans to rebuild the infastructure...when we are done blowing everything to bubblegum.

By the very parasitic nature of communism that freezes innovation and true technological advances, SOMEBODY is SELLING the NORKs this technology in one form or another. That's the only explanation for the recent "quantum leaps" of progress they've made... follow the money.

China Prepares for a Crisis Along North Korea Border
China has been bolstering defenses along its 880-mile frontier with North Korea and realigning forces in surrounding regions to prepare for a potential crisis across their border, including the possibility of a U.S. military strike.

A review of official military and government websites and interviews with experts who have studied the preparations show that Beijing has implemented many of the changes in recent months after initiating them last year. They coincide with repeated warnings by U.S. President Donald Trump that he is weighing military action to halt North Korea's nuclear weapons program while exerting pressure on China to do more to rein in Pyongyang.

Recent measures include establishing a new border defense brigade, 24-hour video surveillance of the mountainous frontier backed by aerial drones, and bunkers to protect against nuclear and chemical blasts, according to the websites.

I would guess Bill Clinton opened the door for N Korea.

IF North Korea finally gets its act together and develops a reliable missile capable of shooting a warhead weight heavy enough to contain a big EMP bomb high enough above the atmosphere to devastate the Western half of the USA; then all they need to do is build the launch system, missile stack and the aforementioned EMP bomb into some mundane container/cargo ship and slip it right next to our Western Coast. The missile only needs to get several hundred miles high, reach not that important.

Launch, lob, detonate. We would only have a few minutes to track, lock onto and destroy such a missile. Probably not enough time. Or they could do the East Coast just about as easily? Gulf Coast? I would NOT want to be President Trump right now. So many different ways North Korea could do it to us. How would we even establish blame after the fact? Half the nation knocked back via EMP a couple hundred years. The relief and rebuilding alone would utterly bankrupt and collapse our Country. Yikes! :(

Chinese paper says China should stay neutral if North Korea attacks first

BEIJING (Reuters) - If North Korea launches an attack that threatens the United States then China should stay neutral, but if the United States attacks first and tries to overthrow North Korea's government China will stop them, a Chinese state-run newspaper said on Friday.

President Donald Trump ratcheted up his rhetoric toward North Korea and its leader on Thursday, warning Pyongyang against attacking Guam or U.S. allies after it disclosed plans to fire missiles over Japan to land near the U.S. Pacific territory.

China, North Korea's most important ally and trading partner, has reiterated calls for calm during the current crisis. It has expressed frustration with both Pyongyang's repeated nuclear and missile tests and with behavior from South Korea and the United States that it sees as escalating tensions.

The widely read state-run Global Times, published by the ruling Communist Party's official People's Daily, wrote in an editorial that Beijing is not able to persuade either Washington or Pyongyang to back down.

"It needs to make clear its stance to all sides and make them understand that when their actions jeopardize China's interests, China will respond with a firm hand," said the paper, which does not represent government policy.

"China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten U.S. soil first and the U.S. retaliates, China will stay neutral," it added.

"If the U.S. and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so."

China has long worried that any conflict on the Korean peninsula, or a repeat of the 1950-53 Korean war, could unleash a wave of destabilizing refugees into its northeast, and could end up with a reunified county allied with the United States.

North Korea is a useful buffer state for China between it and U.S. forces based in South Korea, and also across the sea in Japan.

The Global Times said China will "firmly resist any side which wants to change the status quo of the areas where China's interests are concerned".

"The Korean Peninsula is where the strategic interests of all sides converge, and no side should try to be the absolute dominator of the region."

If (as one Democrat congress clown said could happen) Guam would tip over....
....when NoKo lobs some missiles at them, have everyone on Guam just run to one side of the island to make it tip over, missiles would only hit it on the underside. Then, just flip it back and PRESTO everything is back to normal, and sparkly clean too!

I forget which congressman said that, but damn, that's some serious Sheila Jackson Lee level ignorance. She's the one that thinks Neil Armstrong landed on Mars and believes the Constitution is 400 years old.

It's bad enough people this dense get elected in the first place. It's even worse that they keep getting reelected o_O
