Do you support the prohibition on loaded firearms inside of gun shows? Why?

No question, ALL arms for sale, or to be handled by the showgoers, must be unloaded..... and that extends to no loaded magazines anywhere lying about, either. How much time would it take for some perp to pick up a loaded magazine and click it into the bay and start shooting? The nearest CC holder would not have time to watch this develop and take action to neutralise the threat in time to stop even the first few rounds.

Since the shows are open to anyone, anyone does come. And not everyone has learned proper handling habits. Hey, I've known of some people in gun shows who have never had ANY exposure to firearms before right then and there. If any of those were loaded, how scary could THAT be?

On the other hand, someone's carry weapon will fall into two categories: first, it will be CONCEALED. no one else will know about it. And second, it will ONLY be handled by its owner and only if a serious and threatening situation were to develop.

Can you imagine the mess that would follow on some clown coming into the PDX show carrying, and intending to pull out his piece and have himself a massacre, eliminating a whole bunch of people who are, in his crazy mind, "part of the gun problem"? And NO ONE armed to neutralise him? Better home Cocktailer is at that show, and close by.
